Belle Grove Plantation

Belle Grove is an 18th-century grain and livestock farm which was the center of the decisive battle Battle of Cedar Creek during the Civil War. 1. It’s wonderful to see Belle Grove Plantation looking so lovely. I visited ti twice with my uncle, Stewart Bell of Winchester, Virginia. I have a question for you concerning the reason kitchens were placed in out buildings before modern kitchens were invented. I am having a disagreement with Nancy Carlisle, who co-wrote the book, America’s Kitchens. I would love to hear what you have to say.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Sincerely,
    Fenton McGuire Nelson Stirling
