Gardens at Night: The Moonlighters

Friday, August 12

The sounds of Motown are coming to the MSV! The Moonlighters, an Alexandria-based band that has performed at the Kennedy Center seven times, will play the best of soul music from the 1950s and 1960s eras for this special Gardens at Night. Enjoy gorgeous gardens and songs made famous by The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Jackson Five, and more!

For kids ages 5 to 15, the MSV will host the Firefly Theater, where from 6:45 to 8 p.m., children may participate in a special craft activity ($2 per child; purchase tickets at garden entrance). Refreshment choices include award-winning wines from Doukénie Winery of Purcellville, Virginia—sold by the bottle/glass—and pork barbecue sandwiches, dessert, and more from Shaffer’s. Please bring your own chair; a limited number of chairs are provided (first-come, first-served).

Admission:
Free to MSV Members and children under 6; all others: $5
Additional costs apply for food and wine purchases
No outside food or beverages in the gardens, please.
Rain location: MSV Reception Hall
