A most unusual documentary, shot around the world by anonymous filmmakers, “Life..” shows average lives all on the same single day. PG-13; 90 minutes.

Reception begins at 6 pm, followed by film showing at 7 pm.

Participants must bring their own Pilates mat (or a large beach towel) and should wear comfortable, athletic clothing.

This is a drop-in class and registration is not required.

Please arrive ten minutes early to sign in at the Gate House, located at the garden entrance. In the event of rain, classes will take place in the Museum Reception Hall.

There will be a fitness walk, open men, open women, kids’ mile, and a children’s 100 yd. “Tot Trot.”

This is a race sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Runners. The race was started by Kathy Smart. It is now directed by Mark Stickley, owner of Runners Retreat. The finish line is at the courthouse on the mall in downtown Winchester, just 100 yards (more or less) from the store. Proceeds for the race benefit the Winchester Shelter for Abused Women, now known as the Laurel Center.

Prize money to top 3 overall finishers and top masters (40+). Age group awards three-deep in 5 year increments through 39 for women and 59 for men, ten year increments thereafter.

A special walking tour, “You Must Carry It: The Fight for Bower’s Hill,” will be offered on the 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Winchester. Led by Jonathan Noyalas, assistant professor of history and director of the Center for Civil War History at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown, Virginia, this 60-minute tour will offer participants the opportunity to experience a part of the MSV landscape that is not open to the public.

Car caravan tour of key sites related to the running fight of May 24, when Union forces fought to evade being cut off by Stonewall Jackson’s Confederate troops after the Battle of Front Royal. Led by National Park Service ranger Shannon Moeck. Presented by Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park and Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation. Tour will begin at National Park offices in Middletown.
