			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Welcome to the Winchester Disc Golf Course.  The 9 hole disc golf  course 			  is located within Jim Barnett Park in Winchester, VA.  The course  is available 			  to play for FREE and discs are available for rent ($2.00/disc) at  the War 			  Memorial Building or the Outdoor Pool Complex in Jim Barnett Park.  Come 			  out and experience disc golf for yourself.  It’s a very  inexpensive, family-friendly 			  sport that anyone can play.</p>
<h4>Course Description</h4>
<p>The Winchester Disc Golf Course was designed by a group  of volunteers passionate         about the sport of disc golf.  The course is designed to  challenge all         levels of play and was funded by volunteers and local businesses  and         organizations.</p>
<p>The course meanders through 170 acres of park land and boasts a  balance         of long challenging holes and short strategic holes.  Each hole  consists         of two concrete tee boxes; a white novice/beginner tee box and a  blue         advanced/professional tee box.  For your convenience, tee boxes  are clearly         marked with full-color hole maps and permanent colored squares  in the         concrete.  Scorecards are also available at the course map which  is located         at the outdoor pool parking lot or you can <a href="http://www.winchesterva.gov/parks/documents/disc-golf/scorecard-9-holes.pdf" target="_blank">download         the scorecard here</a>.</p>
<h4>Leagues and Tournaments</h4>
<p>The Grand Opening Disc Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday,  July         11, 2010.  Registration is from 8:30 a.m. &#8211; 9:15 a.m.at the  Jaycee Shelter         in Jim Barnett Park.  A brief course dedication will take place  at 9:00         a.m. and the tournament will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.  Beginner through         advanced players are encouraged to participate.  $25/player and  proceeds         from the tournament will go towards the construction of the back  9 holes         of the course.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial; color: #000000;">GermanFest,  an Oktoberfest-like event to be hosted by the Shenandoah Germanic  Heritage Museum (SGHM), is set for Saturday September 25, 2010 from 10  am &#8211; 6 pm.  The Festival will be held at the Hottel-Keller Homestead,  located at 11523 Back Road, Toms Brook, VA 22660, home of the Shenandoah  Germanic Heritage Museum. It is our first event and is SGHM’s  coming-out party as we introduce our new name to the public.</span></p>
<p>The Shenandoah Germanic Heritage Museum, which encompasses a 392 acre  homestead, historic buildings, and a variety of artifacts such as  household implements, furniture, tools, documents, and other items  related to the history of the property and the people who lived there  from the early 1740s until 1984, collects, preserves, and displays  artifacts related to the Valley’s Germanic people.  We are dedicated to  public understanding of the Germanic Heritage of the Great Shenandoah  Valley of Virginia. We -</p>

<p>One hundred fifty of the cleverest dogs in North America will compete  in  the annual Sheepdog Superbowl, the most challenging display of  canine  cunning and athleticism in North America. Historic Belle Grove   Plantation hosts the event and ticket prices include admission to the   mansion house and many other doggy demonstrations.</p>
<p>Nursery (young) sheepdogs compete September 18th and 19th and open   qualifications will be throughout the following week. The top forty dogs   will compete in a semi-finals on Saturday September 25th and the very   best of the best will compete Sunday, the 26th to determine the  Sheepdog  national Champion.</p>
<p>It’s a brilliant, beautiful, gentle sport which is child and mannerly   dog friendly.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Family Drive-In, located on U.S. Route 11 just south of Stephens City, is one of seven drive-ins left in the state of Virginia and is the only drive in movie theater left in Northern VA. Opened in 1957, this treasure is one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in Virginia. Featuring a playground, concession stand,  two screens and a great soundtrack through the speakers before the movie. This family friendly facility also allows pets so bring your dag and enjoy some good old fashioned family fun.
